Church Notices - Sunday 6th June 2010

1. Prayer Time meets on a Sunday at 9.30am next to the Vestry and we are committed to upholding people in prayer throughout the week. If you would like prayer for yourself or someone else, please complete the prayer request form.
2. The Chronicle Newsletter is available for distribution this morning.
3. Our Summer Services are changing this year. Instead of a service at 9.30am and another at 11am, we are going to have one service only at 10am.throughout the summer. This will start on Sunday, June 13 and run until Sunday, August 15. The Sunday School will resume on Sunday, August 22. We will be starting an exciting new Summer Craft Club for the children to enjoy throughout the summer. The children are encouraged to come to church or the first 15 minutes of the service and then will go to the hall for some fun and crafts. We need adults to join the rota to help with this. Helpers would not be required to organise the event but would be there simply to support the children in their activities. If you would like to help on two or three Sundays over the summer months, please give a note of your name and contact details to Helen Ball or any of the Ministry Team. It will be fully explained at a short meeting on Sunday, June 6 in the small hall after the service.
4. There will be a meeting of the Finance Committee on Wednesday, June 9 at 7.30 pm in the Session Room. It is hoped that as many members as possible will be able to attend this meeting.
5. There will be a Vestry Hour on Thursday evening at 6.30pm.
6. There will be a short meeting of the Congregational Board on Thursday, June 10 at 7.30pm and this will be followed by our Kirk Session meeting.
7. EACH (East Ayrshire Churches Action for the Homeless) Hygiene packs for both males and females are needed at the Blue Triangle, the hostels, women’s refuge and temporary housing lets. Members of the congregation who would like to help can find a list of suitable goods in the pamphlets available in the vestibule. Donations can be left in the red boxes in the vestibule or given to Dr Lochrie, Jean Hannah or Dorothy Paterson.
8. Please inform the minister if you know of a member of the congregation who is unwell.
9. Our local Crossreach Service is holding a Summer Fayre in the Morven Centre (Ardbeg Avenue) from 12noon until 3pm on Friday, June 11. Tickets priced £1, which includes a Strawberry Tea, are available from Janice
